Learn to dance in a relaxed and friendly environment. Relaxed beginners dance workshops where you will learn a full routine, with the confidence to take it out onto the dancefloor. 

 

No previous dance experience needed as each workshop starts with the basics of the dance.

A dance partner is required (you won't be asked to swap partners!).

Cha Cha Cha

Saturday 1st March 2025 - 2pm to 5pm

The Cha Cha Cha can be danced to most tunes, at a variation of tempos.  It's a great fun dance that you can make as simple or complex as you like.

Jive

Saturday 29th March 2025 - 2pm to 5pm

Another one that can be danced to most tunes.  An upbeat dance that everybody loves, with a variety of moves to choose from. 

​

Salsa

Saturday 3rd May 2025 - 2pm to 5pm

Lots of "armography" with this dance, which always looks great on the dancefloor.

Social Foxtrot/Bossa Nova

Saturday 7th June 2025 - 2pm to 5pm

These are two dances that you can travel around the floor with, at a slower tempo, and no complicated moves.

​

Some couples will have more dance experience than others, and I always suggest that you only learn as much as works for you.  It is better to do less well, and have the confidence that you can dance; rather than overload yourselves with moves and never feel you can get up and dance somewhere else.

 

There will be some breaks, as dancing for 3 hours is a big ask!  Refreshments will be available throughout the workshop, and you are free to also take a break whenever you wish.

Each workshop is just £70 per couple, which includes all refreshments.
